A celebrated novelist, Nina, has a peculiar gift that allows her to bring characters to life as she writes them. When Nina’s husband Vincent catches her with a character in her study, she is challenged by his accusations and forced to confront the realities such a dangerous and secret gift can bring.

I wanted to write First Draft because it is an allegory riddled with a deeper meaning of social constructs and how happiness is altered by a lack of genuine human connection, yet in a digestible, fanciful, Dark Fantasy format.
